Reduced Hours

Thank you for your patience as we continue the process of closing the store.

Effective this week – and until we close, our store hours will be:

–        Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m
–        Sunday 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

If you see us in the store outside of these hours, we may be able to let you, but we’re moving shelves and equipment so please understand if it is not safe to let you in.

Finally, if you need assistance outside store hours, please let us know and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate you.

Armadillo Consignment is Closing

It is with a burdened heart that I tell you Armadillo Consignment will close for business Saturday October 28th.

A recent and projected rent increase forces this very difficult decision.

Armadillo Consignment opened on August 27th, 2007.  During this time we’ve consigned almost 140,000 items, supported several local charities, and most importantly have made several thousand friends and neighbors. We sincerely thank you for allowing us to be part of your community and hope you will continue to support us as we transition.

Closure Details 

Tuesday September 5th:  Last day we will accept new consignments. All store fixtures and equipment will also be for sale.

Tuesday September 12th:  We will begin closing Tuesdays in addition to Mondays.

Wednesday September 13th:  We will begin liquidating inventory and the following discount schedule will apply:

• September 13th – 24th (30%)

• September 27th – October 8th (40%)

• October 11th – October 28th (50%)

If you do not wish to have these discounts applied to your consignment you must retrieve it by Sunday September 10th.

You will continue to receive 50% of any sales unless other arrangements have previously been made.

If you’ve consigned an item with us that has a beginning value of $300.00 or more we will give you 80% of the final sales price if it sells at the 50% discount.

Saturday October 28th: All contracts will end at the close of business on Saturday October 28th.  All items that remain thereafter become the property of Armadillo Consignment.  We will sell, donate or dispose of it without explanation, reimbursement, or benefit to you.

Checks for sales that occur between October 1st – 28th will be processed as usual and mailed on November 7th.

Undoubtedly there will be questions and special circumstances that will need to be addressed.  Rest assured that we’ll approach them in our usual manner and make reasonable accommodations where we can.

Again, we truly appreciate the relationship we’ve established with you and thank you for your patience as we transition. I will remain in touch with you and make sure you know our individual plans for the future.

Once More & New Consignment

The Saturday sale was outrageously fun.  You should have seen was $6.00 – $10.00 bought!

If you missed it …you’ll have this week to shop by the pound for $1.50 then Saturday it’ll be $1.00 per pound – then it’s gone.

It’s Saturday 10 – 2 ….

Many of the items are still new in their packages.  Some things we moved inside so you could take advantage of our air conditioning.

Then we’re promised several really nice consignments, one featuring predominately mid century furniture.

We expect them towards the end of the week, and we’re pretty busy right now so it won’t be priced, but it should be by early next week.

August 27th, will mark our tenth year anniversary.  We can scarce believe it … and we thank you for your continued support.

As we’ve been considering how to celebrate the occasion (which we usually do in November) we thought about the thousands of customers and sales we’ve made over the years.

Here is where you and more importantly your story come in.

We know many of you are loyal shoppers and in fact you’ve furnished your homes, filled your closets or carry a handbag (or two) we’ve sold you.  We’re pretty proud of that and we’re hoping you’ll want to share your story about them.

Send us at least two photos of anything you’ve purchased from us along with a brief summary of your experience with us.  Talk about how your’e putting it to use, maybe what your friends and family have had to say about it or just talk about how it fits into your life.

We’ll identify you by your first name only, no other personal information will be shared and we reserve the right to make minor grammatical edits.

Details – Day of A Thousand Totes

Wow!  Your response to our post regarding the parking lot sale was overwhelming!

We haven’t decided on all the details but we  HAVE decided to hold the sale on successive week ends – most likely the first three Saturdays in August.

For those of you who have joined us in the past, we’ll make special arrangements for one or two of  you to join us each day.
